It connects Ferrol with A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela, Pontevedra, Vigo, Tui and the Portuguese border.
AG-64 Ferrol-Vilalba dual carriageway (Toll-free Highway)
It connects Ferrol with Villalba, where it joins with the A-8 and the A-6. Both with connections to the Cantabrian coast and to Madrid, respectively.
A-8 Cantabrian dual carriageway (Toll-free Highway)
It connects Galicia with France through the Cantabrian coast: Asturias, Cantabria and País Vasco. It links with Ferrol in Villalba through the Ferrol-Vilalba AG-64 toll-free motorway.
A-6 Northwest dual carriageway (Toll-free Highway)
It connects Galicia with the rest of Spain through the province of Lugo (link with Ferrol through the AP-9, in the vicinity of A Coruña, or through the Ferrol-Vilalba AG-64 motorway)

Long-distance journey
Both Alvia trains and a daily night train (Trenhotel) connect with Madrid. Also, the narrow-gauge railway (formerly FEVE) runs through northern Spain, parallel to the Cantabrian sea coast, linking Ferrol with Bilbao.
Proximities
Several daily trains connect Ferrol with Pontedeume, Betanzos and A Coruña. In addition, with a single transfer in A Coruña you can easily access the rest of the main cities of Galicia.
