This parish church is located in the Old Town of Ferrol, behind the Bulwark of San Juan in an elevated position with respect to the port. It was built in the eighteenth century, in neoclassical style and a single nave with a bulrush, replacing the previous church of San Julián.

It houses two religious images that are very venerated in Ferrol: the Christ of the Navigators (17th century) and the Virgen of Socorro (18th century), which cause great devotion in the people of Ferrol.
