The Holy Week of Ferrol must be experienced, felt and seen because it is spectacular. It is one of the most important Holy Weeks in the north of the peninsula and the most important in Galicia.
It dates back to the eighteenth century and has authentic treasures of religious imagery. It has a great tradition in Ferrol and is the date of maximum tourist influx. It is a Declared Festival of International Tourist Interest since 2014.
The five existing brotherhoods organize 24 processions in 9 days and about 3000 cofrades participate in them. It is an unforgettable experience to learn about the processions of the Holy Week in Ferrol together with other points of cultural interest and the environment of Ferrol at Easter.
The Sociedade Mixta de Turismo de Ferrol organizes a full program of cultural activities and active tourism to satisfy all tastes and ages (ask at tourist offices).
